York Outreach Team!

Two weeks ago Calvary Chapel in Prague had the oppurtunity to host another Calvary Bible College Outreach team. Ten students from the York, England campus used their outreach week as a time to perform dramas, practice english with Czech highschool students, entertain kids with puppet shows, host a Game and Fellowship Night, and lead worship at our weekly Bible Study. Our Wednesday night Bible Study was blessed to have Shay and Becky lead us in worship.

In this photo Josh is portraying Jesus and Shay is a playing a women that is walking with the Lord.

In this picture Tom is performing as Jesus nailed to the cross and below him are Josh and Becky playing two sinners that come to Christ.

As you can see from this picture Jesus (Tom) embraces the two sinners after seeing what christ did for them on the cross.

Here is Jason leading the study with Tomas translating for our Czech visitors.

On thursday afternoon the team split up and Jason took Aaron and Matt to perform some puppet shows for young elementary kids. They had a great time making those kids laugh!

Heres the whole class posing in a shot with our performers. God really opened a lot of doors that week to give the York team a chance to minister to Prague's youth.

The team took some time off their busy schedule to go indoor rock climbing with Jason's friend Milos.

Ethier the acting has gone to Josh's head or he just really likes posing for the camera, or he could possibly be practicing for his Boy Band audition.

The Rock wall!

Jason took the team to an International Junior and Senior Christian High School called Riverside. The team got to perform in front of a ton of children. In this picture Josh and Becky are performing a very funny drama.
They must have performed that drama about 10 times when they were here, but it never gets old. As you can see from this photo Becky is quiet the actress.

In this drama Josh plays a guy who is a "good person" and Becky is an angel showing Josh's the "what would happen room" where Josh finds out that there is a lot more to life than being a good person.

In this picture Tom and Shay put on a wonderful performance in front of the Riverside students. Jason got up in front of the Riverside audience to share about the reasons the Outreach team was there.

Here is a picture of some of the Team members practing english with Czech students at one of the local high schools.

Jason gets in on some of the conversations to share about what it is to have a relationship with God.

On Friday Night we host a Game and Fellowship Night. All of the people we met during the week were invited to eat snacks, play games, and build relationships. In this photo Josh and Nicole setup a game called Mafia.

If anyone has ever played this game you would know how funny it can get. Trying adding a few international students and the laughter will never stop.

Here we have the team and guests eating snacks and talking. On Saturday the Team got a free day to exploring Prague. Somehow we ended up in a fun house where the girls seemed to haven gotten shorter and Tom's head grew. For some reason Jason is normal in this picture...

Some of the team is looking at the amazing view sharing a kodak moment, but in the corner Jason is thinking of what to do to them while they are not looking... Lastly we have a group shot of the team blocking the beautiful view of Prague behind them. They all seem to have a wierd look to them. Maybe it was all that walking around Prague every day that made them go insane. Lou is on the right flexing his muscles- he has been working out.

Christian Speakers in Prague

This past fall, Prague has been blessed with the visit of some great Christian speakers such as Josh McDowell and Ray Comfort. During the past few weeks Jason was able to particpate in the "Way of the Master" ministry by helping out Ray Comfort and his team record some shoots for their upcoming Christian documentary.
In this photo Jason is preparing some tracks before he heads out with Ray and the team. Everyone is hard at work preparing for what will be a busy day running around Prague.

This picture was taken in the main square in Prague where Ray Comfort and Milan the Pastor of Calvary Chapel in Rodnice are drawing quiet a lot of attention to the hundreds of tourist that walk through.

Heres another picture of Milan translating for Ray Comfort as he shoots a scene for the video. Ray may be short as you can see from standing on the stool, but his words draw a lot of people.

Some street entertainers decided to join in on all the attention and gave a nice musical performance for the "Way of the Master Team"
Heres a picture of Jason with Ray Comfort. You can visit Ray Comfort's "Way of the Master" Ministry by clicking on this link http://www.wayofthemaster.com/
Only a few weeks ago while the York team was here, the International Church of Prague was blessed to have Josh McDowell as a special guest speaker. The author of over a hundred Christian books took time off his busy schedule and his vacation to come and speak about the importance of having a father.

Hungry Team Mission week in Prague

Calvary Chapel Bible College in Hungry sent over 15 students to do missions work here in Prague last November. Jason had the oppurtunity to host the team and organize the outreach programs while they were here. It was a great group of young students wanting to serve the Lord by going into the local Prague schools and getting to speak to students about God's word. It was also a time to build relationships and help the Czech students practice their english.

Throughout the week the team visited many different High Schools averaging about 2 or 4 times a day. They gave the Czech kids a chance to practice their English and have a conversation with some "rare" people. (Christians!)

Also during the week the team organized two seperate "Fun in the Park Days" where the team invited kids to some of the city parks to come out and play.

More fun at the park, except this time the team seems to be just hanging around. They also brought some Czech children up with them! It was a cold day but the fun and laughs and of course playing with the children made it a great Fall Afternoon at the park.

The team also invited the students they met at the schools to a Game and Fellowship Night!

Looks like someone is playing Rummy! The guys behind them seem to be playing scherades?
In this picture one of the ladies from the team spent along time talking and sharing with a Czech non-believer.

Smile for the Camera! Good old board game fun.

Everyone is enjoying themselves playing games.

Jason was able to use the time with the Czech kids as a time to really just love on them and share the truth about Jesus Christ.

Calvary's Weekly Bible Study is blessed by some musical talent to lead worship! It was really a great time singing songs and hearing Jason's study. It was very encouraging to see a lot of new faces visiting that week.

Jason's friend Milos took the team indoor rock climbing. Jason or "Cliff Hanger" as we like to call him is climbing like a pro. Must be that Idaho Moutain Instinct.

Heres one of the team members trying to show Jason up. Does he have what it takes?

Lastly this is a picture of the team waiting at the Tram stop to start there busy day running around Prague ministering to the Czech people!

Prague Lions Junior Team

The Prague Lions Junior team won the 2007 Czech Association American Football Championship in a close game against the Bratislava Monarchs. This season Jason had the oppurtunity to help coach the Prague Lions Junior team and minister to the young Czech athletes. Jason was also able to make some great relationships with some of the players on the team.

Here is Defensive Coach Jason getting the team warmed up before the big game. (Someone looks serious)

Jason's players giving him a victory lift or hug? (In America usually they pour Gatorade down the coaches back)

Martin is one of the veterans of the Junior Prague Lions and this was his last season with the team. Its sad to see him go but winning the Championship was a great way to end his last season.

Prague Lions (Domaci) defeated the Bratislava Monarchs (Hoste) 19 to 14 in what was a close and nerve racking game.

A nice picture of Jason and some of the Lions after winning the Championship.
